PYRAMID

last Saturday, after Pei&I left Nicole, we were asked to do a survey outside WS
The qns were (roughly cos i can't rmb the exact qns):

Two days back (Wednesday), I received a call from someone i don't know when i was having dinner.
The conversation went like this:

Caller: Hi! May I speak to Kaiwei?
Me: May I know who are you?

Caller: Erm, I'm calling from XXX company, I would like to inform you that you are being shortlisted for a marketing position in our company. So I want to ask if you can spare some time for an orientation tomorrow? (He speaks like a machine gun. So i asked him to repeat a few times. lol)
Me: Huh? But I'm just a student leh! How to work for your company? And how you know my number?

Caller: We got your number through a survey.
Me: The WS one ah? (#$^$&!&%#$@%^)

Caller: Ya. It states that you are 18 years old and you meet you meet out company's criteria for the job. So may I know if you are free during any of the timeslot?
Me: Huh. I don't want to work la. My timetable for the new sem sure very full one. I got 7 Modules leh! How to work!?

Caller: Your timetable out le meh?
Me: (Speechless). haven la. but confirm de ma. Aiyah you let me think la.

Caller: What do you have to think about?
Me: I also don't know. I need to think about that question also. (I know I sounds dumb. But it was too sudden) Your company got website not?

Caller: Erm it is currently under mantainance so it's not out yet.
Me: (something must be wrong)

&the conversation goes .... ... ...

I keep rejecting & he keep offering. Got very irritated & my mum kee shouting from the living room - ask me eat dinner.
So I say I really have to go for dinner & he asked me to call him back to confirm my decision (I didn't even thought of accepting the job la). then i switch my phone to silent mode & cont'd my dinner & watching the 9pm show.
And as expected, he call again. but it was a miss call. cos i didn't know. HAHA
lucky he didn't call again. phew.

told Daddy when he came home.
he ask me don't join then he add "He got commission one is it!"
then I was like "Oh ya why i didn't thought of that. Pyramid!" zz

While I was ironing my clothes just now
I was recalling about an incident whereby one of my sec sch friend ask me to join her company but she refuse to tell me what is it about.
So i told my aunt. She ask if that is pyramid. then she explain. She ask me not to join if my friend don't let me know about the company
& i also asked one of her classmates, ZP, what she working as, he told me not to join cos it's MLM a.k.a Multi-Level Marketing.

MLM & Pyramid (金字塔）is similar just that pyramid is illegal

It is like asking someone to buy your products & asking more and more people to join.
If you brought 10 friends to join under you. Part of their commission goes to you and part of your commission goes to the one who brought you here. and it goes up and up.
so the one on the highest level of pyramid will earn the most. They can just shake legs.



So I compared MLM & the marketing position - they tally right?
by working in a multi-level marketing company means you are offered a marketing position!
well, this was just what I interpret la. but i might be right, right? =/

Pei won't receive this call cos she put a fake number!
I've learned my lesson.
